Thalia Laughlin

Thalia Laughlin is a classically trained pianist and musicologist (PhD), offering high-quality piano lessons designed to be both engaging and accessible. Based in Cheshunt and teaching both in-person and online, she works with students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to more advanced pianists.

Her teaching combines a strong technical foundation with a modern, student-focused approach, helping each learner develop confidence, musical understanding, and a genuine enjoyment of playing. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether that’s learning for pleasure, building technique, or preparing for ABRSM exams and auditions.

With experience supporting a wide range of learners, Thalia creates a calm and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to progress at their own pace. She also offers bilingual tuition in English and French, and adapts her teaching style to suit each student’s unique needs.

Lessons take place in a professional studio setting on a Yamaha GB1K baby grand piano, with high-quality equipment available for online students to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience.
