(The price is valid when purchased directly with Sherwood Phoenix Pianos or through the WebSite.)
Sherwood Phoenix Pianos Nottinghamshire presents this Steinway & Sons Model A Grand Piano, manufactured in 1898 and finished in a beautiful Rosewood case.
The piano has been professionally restored during its lifetime and remains in very good condition for its age. The Rosewood case has been sympathetically re-polished, retaining the beautiful natural grain and traditional character of this period Steinway.
Internally, the frame, stringing, soundboard and bridges are all in very good condition. The action functions nicely and provides a responsive playing experience, while the keyboard is also in good condition.
The Steinway Model A is one of Steinway’s most highly regarded grand pianos, offering an excellent balance between size and musical performance. It has a rich bass, warm singing tone and an impressive range of tonal colours, with considerably more depth than you might expect from a grand of this size.
This particular instrument has a wonderfully mature Steinway character and has been fully checked, tuned and prepared by our workshop team.
A beautiful period Steinway & Sons Model A, both visually and musically, and a rare opportunity to own a historic Steinway grand with plenty of character and many more years of musical enjoyment.
